There’s a new hall of fame in town and honestly, it might be the most relevant award ceremony we have these days.

Stephen Colbert’s “Trump Attacked Me on Twitter” Hall of Fame is officially a thing, and the first inductees are none other than national heroes John Oliver, Joe Scarborough, and Mika Brzezinksi.

“I just wanted to say a kind of thank you—that’s a thank you with an inflection up at the end because it doesn’t feel like an honor—for putting me in the “Trump Attacked me on Twitter Hall of Fame,” Oliver explained in a video posted by The Late Show.

Oliver, who had forgotten that Trump had even attacked him in the first place, was joined by inductees (and first members of the Hall of Fame) Brzezinksi and Scarborough—Morning Joe hosts who were on the receiving end of bizarre tweets from the president.  Read more…

The Tinder SuperLike is, without a doubt, the app’s thirstiest, most desperate feature. And now rival app Bumble has just launched a copycat version of the feature — called “SuperSwipe” — for reasons beyond our comprehension.

Bumble announced the new SuperSwipe feature Wednesday, claiming that the feature allows you to tell potential matches “you’re confidently interested in them”. In a blog post announcing the new feature, Bumble said that users need only tap the new heart icon on a person’s profile and they’ll be “notified” that you’re interested in “getting to know them better”.  Read more…

This video about a transgender mother tugs at your heartstrings

TwitterFacebook

Transgender rights is a sensitive issue in India. And elsewhere too.

But this new ad film from P&G for its cough medication brand, Vicks, hits all the right notes and passes on an important message — motherhood transcends gender.

Touch of Care traces the journey of a real-life transgender activist, Gauri Sawant (who plays herself in the video), who overcame all odds to adopt and raise an orphaned girl. The story is narrated charmingly by her daughter.

It has been viewed nearly 5 million times on social media.  Read more…
