Fair warning: Chelsea Handler’s story about adopting a senior dog will make you cry

To encourage others to participate, Chelsea Handler posted a video relaying one of her own adoption stories. (Handler has adopted two dogs from local shelters.)

“I went into the [Long Beach] pound,” she says, “and I found the ugliest-looking dog I could find. And that was Tammy.”

Handler goes on to describe how Tammy, a senior dog, “blossomed” under her care, becoming the very good girl fans saw on her exquisitely-run Instagram page. Tammy passed away last week after a bout of illness, but Handler says she’s just glad Tammy was able to enjoy her final two years. Read more…

John Oliver has been offically inducted in Stephen Colbert’s ‘Trump attacked me on Twitter’ Hall of Fame

There’s a new hall of fame in town and honestly, it might be the most relevant award ceremony we have these days.

Stephen Colbert’s “Trump Attacked Me on Twitter” Hall of Fame is officially a thing, and the first inductees are none other than national heroes John Oliver, Joe Scarborough, and Mika Brzezinksi.

“I just wanted to say a kind of thank you—that’s a thank you with an inflection up at the end because it doesn’t feel like an honor—for putting me in the “Trump Attacked me on Twitter Hall of Fame,” Oliver explained in a video posted by The Late Show.

Oliver, who had forgotten that Trump had even attacked him in the first place, was joined by inductees (and first members of the Hall of Fame) Brzezinksi and Scarborough—Morning Joe hosts who were on the receiving end of bizarre tweets from the president.  Read more…

We’re here for this.

Sodastream has enlisted the talents of Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik and Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn to tell the story of The Lost Tribe of the Homoschlepiens who had running water all around them, but could only drink out of plastic bottles.

In Bialik’s idealized, post-plastic universe, everyone would have a Sodastream.

Fizzy water for everyone. Read more…
